Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering

Requirements: 

The Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering requires the completion of 36 academic units of course work at the graduate level in mechanical engineering. The graduate mechanical engineering program has concentrations in the specialties of advanced thermodynamics, dynamics, engineering materials, production and operations management, statistical quality control, technology of machine tools and reliability in design.

Prerequisites:

An earned Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related physical sciences.

Prescriptive Education:

The student must complete no fewer than 20 academic units of the program through instructional course work from the University. A maximum of 16 units of courses may Le accepted in transfer from other institutions, or accepted in the form of appropriately documented professional experience. Due to prevailing state or Federal regulations, the award of experiential credit is limited to a maximum of 20% of total required for the degree. The Master's degree can he completed with or without a thesis.
