This section presents a broad statement of the University's academic standards, procedures, and policies, established voluntarily following an intensive study and evaluation of the University's proposed educational programs. |

We are committed to making a worthwhile e contribution to the delivery and dissemination of traditional and distance education throughout the world and will consistently endeavor to maintain the highest educational, business and ethical standards in the pursuit of our mission. |
|
We hereby pledge to meet or exceed the following standards along with the corresponding implementation of procedures and policies for the accomplishment of these standards: |
|
1. The University offers educationally-sound, state-of-the-art courses and curricula that are designed to enhance students' success in the professional and business marketplace. It will succinctly state objectives of each course or program of study it offers and the means by which the stipulated objectives will be met. |
|
2. The University is committed to recruiting and maintaining a cadre of competent, knowledgeable and experienced faculty advisors. The faculty advisors will exert concentrated efforts toward fostering excellence in education through the development of appropriate standards for assessing educational effectiveness, encouragement of continued improvement through self-evaluation and planning activities, and will ensure the students, academia, professional and business communities, general public, accreditation /regulatory agencies as well as Federal state, and local authorities that the University has clearly defined and appropriate objectives and will provide conditions and guidance conductive to the accomplishment of the various objectives, designed to benefit the students from the learning experience provided. |

3. The University will provide consistently satisfactory educational services to its students. The instructional materials will be sufficiently comprehensive and of such high caliber to achieve the stipulated objectives. The instructional materials will he prepared by qualified faculty and/or professional consultants competent in their respective fields of specialization. Standard text books published by nationally or internationally recognized publishers and currently used at other fine universities will be prescribed at the University. Additionally, educational materials comprised of appropriate study guides and/or exposition of major concepts of various courses win be prepared by eminently qualified educators skilled in the preparation of such material for distance educational/home study use. |

4. The University will carefully screen all prospective students for admission and will admit only those students who have a reasonable chance of benefitting from the proposed study program. Equitable application of established admission standards will constitute the key ingredient in the selection process. |

5. The University is committed to demonstrating ample overall student success and satisfaction. Adequate provisions will he put in place to meet the individual differences of students by providing pertinent counseling and guidance to assist students in attaining their educational goals. A constructive program of encouragement and instructional assistance will be in place to enable the enrolled students to start, continue and finish the courses in reasonable periods of time. All relevant written and verbal inquiries from students will be promptly and satisfactorily answered by competent and knowledgeable faculty advisors. The use of modern electronic technology will facilitate and expedite student-faculty interaction and exchange of information and data. |

6. The University is totally committed to a policy of non-discrimination in its overall conduct including admissions and grade evaluations with respect to race, religion, creed, national origin, color, sexual orientation, and handicap. Qualifications of the applicants and their prospects for success for the degree programs are the sole criteria for acceptance into the academic programs and throughout the students' tenure at the University. |

7. All advertising, promotional and recruitment activities of the University will be strict truthful, will conform to ethical business and professional standards and will be in consonance will all applicable federal, state and local regulations and statutes. |

8. English Language Requirement: all prospective students should be cognizant of the fact that the English language is the medium of instruction at the University. Accordingly, all students contemplating enrollment in any degree program at the University are expected to have reasonable command of the English language. Throughout a student's course of 'study at the University, the faculty emphasizes continued improvement in speaking, writing and reading skills. This applies to both American and international students. Appropriate prerequisite or co-requisite courses in English language will be assigned to those students who need to enhance their communicative skills. |

Applicants from countries where English is not their native language or medium of instruction must demonstrate evidence of English-language proficiency by providing the University with one of the following items: |

Evidence of 500 or higher TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test score. |
|
A Certificate of Completion from an intermediate ESL (English as a Second Language) course. |

9. A high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) is a prerequisite for entrance into a Bachelor's degree program. |
|
10. No student is accepted into a graduate degree program without a completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited or appropriately reputable institution. Students holding certificates, diplomas or degrees from non-U.S. or unaccredited institutions may he required to take additional remedial courses or complete the Bachelor's degree prior to enrollment in a Master's degree program. A doctoral candidate must hold a valid Master's degree or its equivalent prior to being accepted into the Doctoral program. |

11. The University recognizes credits from other schools for comparable courses offered at the University. In determining transfer credits, consideration is given during the admission process not only to the incoming student's formal education but also to accumulated life and professional work experience including independent study. |

Credits earned at the University may be transferable to other schools. Just as we have certain requirements for acceptance of credits earned elsewhere, so do other universities for transfer of credits into their system. Each student transferring from one to another must be evaluated by the receiving institution. |
|
A maximum of 80 units of core and elective courses may be accepted in transfer from other institutions, or accepted in the form of acceptably documented professional life-experience for a bachelor's degree program. A maximum of six units for a Master's degree program and eight (8) units for a doctoral degree program may be transferred from outside sources. All transfer credits are subject to official verification. |

12. All student examinations will take place under appropriate proctored/monitored conditions in accordance with the University's guidelines. |
|
13. The University will show, by complete and accurate annual financial statements, that it is financially stable and responsible and that it can fully meet its financial obligations to provide academic services. These financial statements will be prepared in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. |
|
14. The University will always use a written enrollment agreement (or contract) with each incoming student that clearly specifies the nature and scope of academic courses constituting the proposed study plan, the various educational and tutorial services the University will provide as well as the privileges and expected conduct of the enrolled student including his/her financial obligations. The written enrollment agreement (or contract) will conform to fair, sound business and ethical standards and will include provisions for withdrawal, cancellation and refund policies. Tuition collection practices and procedures, incorporated into the agreement, win be fair and in keeping with sound and ethical business standards. |

15. The University is committed to the pursuit of continual progressivity toward enhancement of operating efficiency and educational caliber in the field of distance learning. Appropriate research procedures, including statistical data gathering, compilation and analysis/evaluation will be used to measure the effectiveness of stipulated courses and degree objectives on a on-going basis. This self-study evaluation program will he in keeping with our determination to improve our services to students and will continually provide for the growth of our staff and faculty. |
